Dear colleagues,

you are cordially invited to participate in

the International Symposium “Myology in the 21st Century”, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Myology Laboratory of the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences,

held from June 3-5, 2026, in Moscow, Russia

 

We aim to bring together leading experts to discuss the latest advancements and future directions in the field. Your presence and contribution would be a valuable addition to this commemorative symposium.

Important Dates:

  • 02 February 2026: Registration and abstract submission opens.
  • 01 April 2026: Abstract submission deadline.
  • 06 April 2026: Notification of abstract acceptance.
  • 15 May 2026: Release of the symposium program.

The symposium is expected to discuss the following topics:
Section 1: Molecular mechanisms of muscle contraction. Molecular motors.
Section 2: Molecular signaling and plasticity of striated muscle. Mechanosensing.
Section 3: Gravitational mechanisms and homeostasis in striated muscle. Skeletal muscle disuse.
Section 4: Neuronal control of striated muscle plasticity. Neuromuscular transmission.

The program of each section will consist of invited plenary lectures and 3-4 short presentations selected from submitted abstracts. A poster session will also be organized to facilitate further discussion. The symposium will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation. The working language of the symposium is English.

Abstract submission
Please carefully read the abstract formatting guidelines. Abstracts not formatted according to these requirements may not be included in the conference program.

Abstract text: Times New Roman, 12 pt. Abstracts up to 2500 characters (without spaces), excluding authors, titles and affiliations, are accepted for publication. The first author is required to be the presenting author. No figures or tables.
